Description:

The N.A. Chaderjian Youth Correctional Facility located in Stockton, in San Joaquin County, houses male youths 18 to 25 years of age in living units comprised of individual rooms. Youth that have not obtained a High School Diploma, passed an equivalency exam that is recognized by the California Department of Education or completed a legally established program of completion from an accredited school will be enrolled in their facility’s high school. Special education and English Learner services are provided at all locations. Youth may also access post-secondary education programs while in DJJ. College opportunities are available at all locations. This facility has an intensive treatment program, a specialized counseling program, a sex offender treatment program, and a residential substance abuse treatment program. It also has a program for youths who wish to leave the gang lifestyle and have disavowed their allegiance to their former gangs
